Dr. Owen Humphreys is a member of the core educational team of the Australasian College of Skin Cancer Medicine.
Owen is in full time skin cancer practice in Townsville in North Queensland. As a Fellow of the College he is also a member of our education subcomittee.
Owen is responsible for standardsand examination of our histopathology program,. This is a compulsory and major subject of College Fellowship curriculum.
Owen is also involved in all other aspects of College education, examination and standards processes.
In his skin cancer practice Owen manages the full breadth of tumours on all locations including complex tumours on the eyelid, nose, lips and ears.
Owen also has formal training in methods of education provision.
Owen enjoys teaching most when it involves demonstrating and supervising the acquisition of core skills in skin handling, excision, closures and biopsies.
